We design and install durable outdoor lighting that boosts curb appeal, safety, and nighttime use of your yard.
At Matt’s Landscaping, we install low voltage landscape lighting that makes your property safer, more attractive, and easier to enjoy after dark. This type of outdoor lighting uses a transformer to reduce standard household power to a lower voltage, which makes it efficient, dependable, and ideal for walkways, patios, gardens, retaining walls, and entry areas.
We design each lighting system around your home and goals. Some homeowners want better curb appeal. Others want to light steps, paths, and drive areas for safety. Many want both. We can highlight trees, planting beds, architectural features, stonework, water features, and outdoor living spaces with a clean, balanced layout that looks natural at night instead of harsh or overlit.
Our low voltage lighting service can include path lights, spotlights, flood lights, well lights, deck and step lights, accent lights, and hardscape lighting. During planning, we look at fixture placement, beam spread, brightness, wiring routes, and transformer sizing to make sure the system performs well and grows with your landscape. We also consider energy-saving options like LED landscape lighting, timers, and photocell controls for simple automatic operation.
A quality installation is about more than putting fixtures in the ground. We pay attention to trenching, wire protection, secure connections, proper spacing, and aiming each fixture so the lighting adds beauty without unwanted glare. The result is an outdoor lighting system that improves nighttime visibility, helps define your property, and creates a warm, welcoming look.
Low voltage landscape lighting is a smart upgrade for front yards, backyards, and commercial properties. It can improve security, extend the use of your outdoor spaces, and boost the overall value and appearance of the property. If you want a custom outdoor lighting plan that fits your landscape and budget, contact Matt’s Landscaping to schedule a consultation.
We walk your property with you, identify dark areas, focal points, paths, beds, and architectural features, and learn how you want the space to feel at night. Then we map out fixture placement, transformer needs, beam spread, and a clear estimate so you know exactly what to expect.
Once approved, we schedule your project and install a tailored low voltage lighting system using durable fixtures, clean wire runs, and proper connections for long-term performance. We work carefully around existing landscaping, bury lines neatly, and aim to complete most installations within one to two days.
After installation, we test the full system at dusk, adjust fixture angles, balance light levels, and check timers or controls to make sure everything looks right and works reliably. We finish with a walkthrough so you can see the results, ask questions, and feel confident your landscape lighting is ready to enjoy.
Common questions we hear from homeowners who want safer, better-looking outdoor lighting without the guesswork.
Low voltage landscape lighting uses a transformer to safely power outdoor lights at a lower voltage. Homeowners choose it to highlight landscaping, improve curb appeal, add nighttime visibility, and make walkways, patios, and entry areas feel more inviting after dark.
We typically install lighting along walkways, driveways, garden beds, patios, steps, retaining walls, trees, and entryways. The right layout depends on your property, goals, and budget. We help you choose placements that look natural, improve safety, and create a clean, balanced nighttime look.
Most low voltage landscape lighting projects can be installed in one day, depending on the size of the property and the number of fixtures. Before we start, we review the layout, explain the process, and make sure you know what to expect from start to finish.

Great service in a very timely manner.
My husband and I hired Matt and his team for landscaping our back yard with trees, flowers, rock and a fire pit. We talked through with him on the design and he gave recommendations on what would be best for what we wanted. He’s thorough and submitted a very reasonable quote and timeline. The job was completed quickly, and they knocked it out of the park! (My neighbors are a tad jealous.) Thanks, Matt - it looks beautiful!
Matt and crew put brick edging and mulch for me and a small rock wall. They were tidy and fast. The rock wall looks great! It will help keep the mulch on the slanted area from sliding down the slope and always look tidy.
We knew right away after the initial meeting that Matt would help to get the plan for our porch project done. He showed us photos of amazing yards he transformed and it was obvious to us he is so knowledgeable and passionate about his work! He and his team are very approachable and worked hard to make sure everything was done right. We truly love how this has elevated our backyard and look forward to spending even more time enjoying it!
First time mow of the season in July! They did an amazing clean up & manicure! Nice people / easy to work with
Matt and his crew were fantastic. We called for a quote and were able to get an estimate within a couple days. Got the job scheduled within a couple weeks of accepting the deal and Matt was willing to work with us to make sure the project would get done in one day. Once his crew was here, we walked through everything and they were able to take down five large trees, grind the stumps, and fill in the holes for more than a fair price. If we ever need landscaping services again, we will go with Matt because of his fair prices and professionalism.
